[friends] Weekly Update - Revised Calendar

Dear Friends,
 
Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!
 
Attached is our latest bulletin, prayer list and the November calendar.
 
While the information in the bulletin was correct on Sunday there were some
mistakes on the monthly calendar. The attached calendar has been corrected.
These corrections include

*	The next adult education session will begin on November 15 (not
November 8)
*	There will be an altar server training day/retreat on Saturday
November 18
*	There will be Vigil for the Feast of the Presentation of the
Theotokos into the Temple on Monday November 20th at 7pm

 
Things to remember:

*	Tonight (Wednesday Nov 8) at 7:00pm we will celebrate the Akathist
hymn to the Archangel Michael
*	6:00pm on Friday November 10th, our young adult book club will meet
at the Round Table restaurant on Fremont Blvd.
*	Pledge forms have been distributed and are available on the Welcome
Desk. Please complete and return your pledge form by November 30 so that the
Parish Council can prepare a budget for 2007. If you would like an copy of
the form emailed to you please contact me.
*	The survey on the times of services has been distributed. Please
complete and return your survey by November 30th as well.
*	In answer to the ever growning need for more food for homeless
shelters etc. as Government programs are provided less and less, we are
attempting to fill our Food Drive bin again by November 19th in time for the
holiday. Please plan on bringing in what you can this Sunday and next so
that we can accomplish this goal. We need healthy non-perishable foods.
*	This Saturday is our parish open house at 2-6pm. Please plan on
attending if you are able and spread the word. I have, again, attached a
copy of the flyer for your convience.
