[friends] Weekly Update and Schedule for Holy Week & Pascha

Dear Friends,
 
As begin on our Journey through Passion Week life at St. Christina's is
continually full of the Grace of God. As I had mentioned last week we had a
wonderful regional youth retreat followed by our 2nd annual egg decorating
"pysanki" workshop which we advertised in town and more than doubled our
attendance from last year.. We have posted the pictures on our website.

This week after a beautiful two day feast of the Entrance of Our Lord into
Jerusalem including a joyous processing on Sunday we held an "Easter Bake
Sale" which was also advertised to the public. Several people and families
came buy and purchased goodies for their easter basket and learned that
there is an Orthodox Church in Fremont. Special thanks go to Alex and Bonnie
Prescop along with all the bakers who helped make the event such a success.
 
With Holy Week now upon us, I have listed our worship schedule for the week.

 
Don't forget to SIGN UP keep Vigil over the Tomb of our Lord Holy Friday and
Holy Saturday. The sign-up sheet is in the fellowship hall on the Ministries
Bulltin Board. Our goal is to try and keep vigil over the tomb throughout
then entire time. People sometimes pair up to take a couple slots together
and/or even bring their sleeping bag to sleep at church after a late night
slot.
