Dear Friends of St Christina

Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever!

My apologies that there is no bulletin or prayer list attached. I have  
been going through some computer "issues" and am not able to put one  
together at the moment. We are addressing the situation and are hoping  
to get back to "normal" this week.

In the mean time I did want to bring you all up to date on what is  
happening at St Christina's

We will be continuing our adult education class on the Mystery of  
Marriage this Thursday at 7:30 pm

This past Sunday we finished our month-long school supply drive for  
the Tri-Cities Homeless shelter here in Fremont and Raphael House in  
San Francisco
By the Grace of God we were able to collect 9 large garbage bags of  
supplies! Thanks to everyone who contributed as well as to our mission  
youth (and their parents) who sorted the supplies after Liturgy!

Also, this Saturday is our monthly turn to serve lunch at the Tri- 
Cities Homeless shelter. As always, everyone is welcome to join the  
crew at 11:30. For more information contact Bonnie Prescop.

This is also the last week for our summer reading program. Finish up  
your 30 Points worth of reading and complete your reading sheets this  
weekend. 1 point for every 30 pages Books of the Bible are 2 points

This coming Monday (Labor Day) we will be holding our annual parish  
picnic. This year we will have it at Holy Cross Monastery in Castro  
Valley. The picnic will start at noon with a molieben to St Christina  
followed be some fun and games and, as always, great food! There is a  
sign-up on the ministries bulletin board in the fellowship hall.
Directions will be available at Church after Liturgy on Sunday or by  
emailing or calling me.
