[Friends of St. Christina Orthodox Church]

Dear Friends
 
Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
 
On Tuesday May 1st we held the Konevets Quartet Concert at Mission San Jose.
By the Grace of God and the hard work of the faithful of St. Christina's
over 90 people from throughout the Bay Area came together for a wonderful
evening of great music. The quartet reported that they felt the audience had
the best spirit of all the concerts so far. It was wonderful to see many
friends from other parishes as well as meet people from the area who learned
through the concert that there was an Orthodox Church in town.
 
Please continue to pray for us that the Lord will bless our efforts and grow
our humble mission.
 
Attached is this past Sunday's bulletin and a newly updated prayer list.
 
Some reminders:

*	This Sunday, in connection with our Mothers' Day brunch we are
raising funds for the Gobezie Goshu Home for the Elderly in Ethiopia. Please
come prepared to offer what you can for this wonderful ministry.
*	Next Tuesday at 7:30pm we will continue our adult education on the
parables of Christ
*	Next Wednesday at 

*	7:00am we will celebrate the Paschal Divine Liturgy for the
Leavetaking of Pascha
*	7:00pm we will celebrate Vigil for the Feast of the Ascension of our
Lord

*	Next Thursday at 7:00am will will celebrate the Divine Liturgy for
Ascension.

 
Coming Soon...
Saturday June 2 from 11am-4 we are hold our first Annual Youth BBQ for all
the Orthodox Youth in Bay Area. Spread the word! I have attached a flyer and
registration form.
