[friends] Prayers for Southern CA

[Friends of St. Christina Orthodox Church]

Dear Friends.

 

As you may have heard by now, over 250,000 people in Southern CA have been
evacuated because of the devastating fires in the area. Apparently, most of
the evacuees are not from Malibou but from the Poway/ Rancho Bernado area
which is also where St. John of Damascus Orthodox Church is.

 

Many of the parishioners have been evacuated and are in high schools and
other places being used a shelters. Many of us have dear friends and family
in the area. Please keep all the faithful of St. John of Damascus as well as
all the people in the area who are being effected. Pray also, for those who
are working to put out the fire at their own risk.

 

As more word becomes available we will let you know.  In the mean time, let
us offer our hearts and prayers for their safety.
