[friends] Southern CA Fires Update

[Friends of St. Christina Orthodox Church]

Dear Friends

 

We received word that our dear friends Fr. Alexander & Vickie Federoff and
Birdie and Kon Worth were among those who were evacuated. We have also
learned that Birdie and Kon's home was lost in the fires. We are grateful to
hear that they are safe and sound, though it is hard to imagine the loss
they are experiencing.

 

Today begins a difficult journey for them and many many others who have lost
their homes. In addition, there are still others who are forced simply to
wait and see as thousands of more people are evacuated from the area.

 

It is crucial for us to remain in prayer during this terrible disaster:
prayer for Birdie & Kon, all those who have lost their homes, those who are
fighting the fires, and those who can do nothing other than wait.
