Dear Friends

Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!

 

This past Sunday the youth of the parish kicked off our Souper Bowl
celebration with a wonderful luncheon. They did a great job collecting funds
and cans of soup and even cleaning the church afterwards! Thank you!!! 

We will be collecting dollars and soup cans this coming Sunday as well for
anyone who missed out.

 

Also this coming Sunday our Treasurer, Maha Estephan, will be addressing
some of the questions that arose during our annual meeting on 1/27. If you
have additional questions for her, feel free to send them to her so that she
can be sure to have all the information.

 

Tonight (Tuesday at 7:30pm) we will continue our class on the Apostolic
Fathers. We are finishing the letter of St. Polycarp to the Phillipians and
will begin St. Clement's letter to the Corinthians. 

 

Thursday evening at 7:00pm we will be continuing our Orthodox Christianity
101 Class. We will be discussing the Orthodox Christian Church's teachings
about salvation. As always, everyone is welcome.

 

Attached are the bulletin and updated prayer list (updated 020508). I have
also attached a label for the coin collection we are starting. We also have
containers if people need them. This is an ongoing effort. As your canisters
get full just bring them to church to be emptied and Matushka Vickie will
bring the coins to Coin Star or the bank.

 

Lastly, we are in the process of distributing our 2008 directory of members
and friends of St. Christina's. See Erik Worth to obtain yours.
