Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!

 

Well, the Feast of our Lord's Nativity is behind us and the Feast of
Theophany approaches. In the midst of these holy days the Civil New Year
begins. I pray that the new year will be filled with God's Grace in your
life. May He go before all of us making our way straight, guarding our life
and making firm our steps as heirs to His Kingdom and followers of His Son.

 

On Sunday we will have the great blessing of water. Remember to bring your
containers to bring home Holy Water for those times (illness, strife, etc.)
when there is need for some extra Grace.

 

The bible exams are due. I will accept them today and tomorrow (Thursday). I
have attached a copy of it in word format for people who may want to fill it
out electronically and email it to me. The drawing for the passing
submissions will take place Sunday immediately after the Great Blessing of
Water.

 

Be sure to look at your calendar and contact me about scheduling your house
blessing this year.

Saturday Jan 5       9am - Vespers & Divine Liturgy for the Eve of Theophany

                             11:30 - Serve Lunch at the Tri-Cities Homeless
Shelter

                             6pm - Vigil for the Feast of Theophany

Sunday Jan 6          9:30am - Hours & Divine Liturgy for Theophany: the
Baptism of our Lord

                             Followed by the Great Blessing of Water
