Dear Friends of St. Christina

Christ is risen! Indeed He is risen!

Well after continued technical difficulties, we are back with our e-mail
update, though we are still having difficulties with our Comcast folks.

Attached is our calendar for June as well as our bulletin from this past
weekend.

Life is full of blessings and challenges. Our property investigation
continues and everyone at Church this past Sunday was given the opportunity
to view our current possibilities. If you did so and still have your
feedback sheet, please fill it out and get it to me so that we can compile
everyone's responses. It is important for us all to be honest about our
impressions and feelings so that we can make our decisions together as a
community.

There is no doubt that the Lord is offering us opportunities and we as His
children are being asked to discern our response. May we do our best to
balance the two spiritual dynamics of stepping forth in faith while at the
same time being good stewards of the resources He has given us. Nothing will
come of anything without prayer.

We also had our 2nd annual youth bbq on Saturday. 5 parishes participated
and while we had slightly fewer kids, everyone had a great time. Thank you
to everyone who helped and support our ministry with our youth.

Below are reminders for the week. As usual, our life in Christ is a full
one. Everyone should do their best to celebrate the Feast of our Lord's
Ascension by attending as many and as  much of the services as is possible.
Remember, God does not ask for more than our best, but He does ask and
expect our best.

Tonight at 7:30 we will have our adult education class on the Didache &
other Ancient Christian Documents

Wednesday at 7:00am - Divine Liturgy for the Leavetaking of Holy Pascha

Wednesday at 7:00pm -  Vigil for the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord

Thursday at 7:00am - Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Ascension of our
Lord

Friday at 7:00pm - 40-day Memorial Service for Bonnie Prescop

Saturday at 11:30am - Serve Lunch at the Tri-Cities Sunrise Village Homeless
Shelter in Fremont 

Saturday at 1:00pm - BBQ of Thanks at home of Alex Prescop

Saturday at 6:00pm - Great Vespers

Sunday at 9:30am - Hours & Divine Liturgy with visit from our Dean, Fr.
Matthew Tate

Monday June 9th - Vespers and Concert sung by male octet from St. Tikhon's
Seminary
