Dear Friends of St. Christina

 

Greetings with the Great Feast of Pentecost!

 

I hope everyone was able to usher in the feast this past weekend with joy
and is enjoying the fast free week!

Kids are finishing or have finished up school and Summer is upon us! 

 

We had a very nice potluck for our fathers and a successful collection for
our local St. Eugene's Orthodox Youth Camp. This year, with the economy and
price of gas we have received a record amount of requests for scholarships.
Everything we are able to raise means more kids can take part in this long
standing ministry. Thank you!

 

A lot is taking place with our property search. Please continue to pray for
our young community as we hope to discern God's will and the possibility of
a more permanent home for our temple. We will need everyone's prayers and
support if we are to hope to make this important and challenging step.

 

Attached are the bulletin and prayer list from this past Sunday.

 

Some Reminders:

.         Tonight (Tuesday) at 7:30pm we will have our final Adult Education
Class on some of the ancient Christian documents. We are finishing the
Epistle of Barnabas. Our next adult education class will not be till August.
Be sure to check our calendar.

.         Wednesday at 7:30pm we will have our monthly Parish Council
meeting

.         Next Thursday (June 26) everyone is invited to participate in a
"Town Hall" meeting about our Orthodox Church in America at Holy Trinity
Cathedral in San Francisco. As I have announced in Church, if you cannot
make it but have a question please send it to me and I will read it at the
meeting.
