Attached is our bulleting and prayer list from this past week. Also, I have
attached a copy of the Raphael House Coffee fundraiser that is taking place
in the diocese. We will be accepting orders through Sunday March 16. I will
be placing the order on Monday March 17.

 

Also a few reminders:

This weekend is daylight savings time and we “spring ahead” losing 1 hour.
Please be sure to adjust your clocks accordingly to avoid come late to
Divine Liturgy on Sunday

Reminders about this Sunday

·         We will be taking a picture of all of us in the Mission after the
Divine Liturgy for to share with Pamela Barksdale as she travels to do her
missionary work in Albania. We will also send the picture to the OCA as part
of our update about the mission. It has been nearly 2 years since our last
mission photo.

·         As Sunday is Cheesefare Sunday we will be having a cheesefare
brunch during fellowship hour. Mary Zellem and Russell Gatschet are bringing
items to make the traditionally Russian blini (pancakes). However we need
items to put in the blini (herring, sour cream, salmon, parmesan cheese,
butter, jam, nutella, suger, etc.) We also are asking people to bring any
kind of cheese/dairy dish that they would like to contribute to the
fellowship hour. Éclairs and Connoli’s have already been planned to be there

·         This Sunday is also Forgiveness Sunday and we will celebrate the
Forgiveness Sunday Vespers with the Rite of Forgiveness starting at 12:30
after our Cheesefare brunch.

 

Services for the 1st Week of Lent

It is important to take advantage of the Church’s services during Great
Lent. They teach us and train us about what it means to turn to God as we
participate in Great Lent, the school of repentence. There are services
every night this coming week as well as a Presanctified Liturgy on Wednesday
morning at 9:30am. There are no classes this week, in light of our worship
schedule.
