Glorifying God,
Serving Our Neighbor

OUR MISSION

St. Christina Orthodox Church exists to worship the Holy Trinity, nurture the faithful in the Orthodox Christian life, and share the love of Christ with all who seek Him.

We come from all walks of life and are united in our love for our Lord Jesus and committed to "stir up one another to love and good works" (Hebrews 10:24).

We are a parish of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA), under the spiritual care of Bishop Vasily of the Diocese of The West.

OUR PATRON SAINT

St. Christina of Tyre (†circa 300 AD) was a courageous young woman who chose faithfulness to Christ over the pressures of her pagan family. Her unwavering faith inspires our parish to live boldly for Christ.

We celebrate her feast day on July 24th with a festal Divine Liturgy and parish celebration.

Our services are in English and our hymns incorporate styles of various Orthodox traditions.

Additionally we follow the cycle of the New Calendar throughout the year in accordance with the OCA.

St. Christina of Tyre is a vibrant parish formed in Fremont in 2004 to serve the Tri-Cities area and beyond. The parish acquired and moved into the current building in 2009 and has been worshipping there ever since.

Our community is diverse and includes a mix of those with Slavic, Middle-eastern, Greek, Romanian, North and South American, and Asian backgrounds. We are converts and cradle Orthodox; young and old; single and married; in established families and young families. We come from all walks of life and are united in our love for our Lord Jesus and committed to "stir up one another to love and good works" (Hebrews 10:24).
